About us

The Divine Mercy Group was initiated after the Divine Mercy Feast in St. Mary’s Cathedral (19.04.2009) to spread the Divine Mercy message among society.

The Group is open to everyone and welcomes all nationalities.

Our goals follow Jesus's call:

“You are to show mercy to your neighbours always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it. I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbour: the first-by deed, the second- by word, the third- by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy “. (St. Faustina's Diary, 742)

In practice it means that each of us tries on daily basis:

  • Perform acts of mercy with our families, to our friends, relatives and enemies. We aim to take part in parish everyday life and Divine Mercy Group activities.

  • Pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy in spiritual unity with other group members asking for God’s Mercy for all dying and all souls that suffer in Purgatory, sinners, the Holy Church, priests, our group and those who asked us for prayers.

  • Pray at the Hour of Mercy (3 pm) glorifying God’s Mercy, and dedicating Him, our group and further initiatives. (It could be a short prayer when you are at work or Station of the Cross or any other longer prayer when you have more time).

Once a month (every second Sunday) we gather on adoration-prayer meetings to:

  • pray together and worship Jesus in Blessed Sacrament;
  • meditate in silence
  • sing songs of praise
  • recite the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy
